Obituary

Laurene N. (LeFort) Chandler, age 74 of Brockton, died on March 11, 2022 at Brockton Hospital. Laurene was the wife of the late Alton Chandler. Born in Plymouth, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Ruth (Johnson) LeFort. She was raised in West Bridgewater and later resided in Hanover and Kingston before moving to Brockton.

Following graduation from high school Laurene attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston. For over 30 years she was employed at Bradlees Department store and then became a Nanny for 15 years in Hanover. Laurene was kind, compassionate, smart, outgoing and enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and dog Wylie. She also enjoyed Trivia, playing cards and listening to music.

Laurene is survived by her children Michael Chandler, Alanna Chandler and step daughter Robin Stroud. She was the grandmother of Andrew and Jessica Chandler and sister of Judy, Jean, Michael, and Patrick.

Burial will be held at a later date in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
