Hume of Brockton, August 25, 2003, Lawrence J. Hume, Sr., 80 years. Husband of the late Arlene E. (Walls) Hume. Father of Lawrence J. Jr. and Daniel L. Sr. both of Brockton; Debra Ellis of Lakeville and Wayne of CA.

Funeral Service in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday at 11 am. Burial at a later date in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 10 to 11 am. Donations in Lawrence’s Memory may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 14 Page Terrace, Stoughton, MA 02072.

Obituary

Mr. Hume died Monday evening at his home following a brief illness.Born in Brockton, son of the late Henry J. and Gertrude (Shaw) Hume. Resident of Brockton for most of his life. Most recently he was a manager of Brockton apartments, previously he worked at the former ET Wright Shoe Company in Rockland. He enjoyed collecting coins and 78 records and working on cars. He was Jack-of-all-trades, repairing TV’s and radios. He loved time spent with his grandchildren.

Survived by three sons, Lawrence J. Jr., Daniel L. Sr. both of Brocktonand Wayne of CA and a daughter Debra Ellis of Lakeville, 9 grandchildren and one great grandson
