Lawrence "Larry" Yablonsky of Raynham, MA born on February 12, 1938 in Middleboro, MA passed away peacefully at home on December 6, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
Son of the late Alexander & Anna (Washvilas) Yablonsky. He has rejoined his siblings Nellie, Albert, Lily, Alice, Frankie and Freddie, his twin. Survived by his sister, Flossie. He was a devoted husband to his wife Gwen (Austin) Yablonsky until her passing on January 7, 1999. Larry had remarried in 2001 to Patricia (Henshaw) Yablonsky until her recent passing on October 22, 2024.
He was the loving father and grandfather of Larry Jr & Marion Yablonsky, their children Chris, Catherine & Alex. Wayne Yablonsky. Jacqueline & Daniel Hughes, their children Rob, Jeff, Kayleigh & Justin. Jeanine & Duane Mitchell, their children Andy, Danielle & Nick. Patricia & Aaron Burke, their child Teaghan. Mark & Terri Henshaw, their children Erica, Mark II & Danielle. Roxann & Robert Mazzoleni, their children Neal, Leah & Kara. Todd & Lynda Henshaw, their children Kathryn & Tara. Great Grandfather to 19 great grandchildren and 3 more precious additions due in the next 4 months.
At the age of 16 he delivered watches by South Station as well as delivering packages locally in South Boston. At age 18, he enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed in England for 3 years. Upon his completion of service he returned with his wife and began his 42 year career as a welder at Mass Engineering.
Throughout his retirement he enjoyed traveling to new and unknown places. He enjoyed spending time with his family & friends. Larry's kind smile & comedic nature will leave a lasting memory that will span generations.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Temple Baptist Church, 540 Manley St, West Bridgewater on Saturday, December 14th at 11:00AM, followed by a time for fellowship and refreshments. All are welcome.
A private burial will take place at Massachusetts National Cemetery – Bourne.
In lieu of flowers, Larry humbly requests donations can be made to Accentcare Hospice or the MSPCA.
