Leandre (Leon) born in St. Ludger Quebec Canada, came to the US at age 19. He was married to the late Rosemarie (Podzon) Rodrigue for 57 years and they were long time residents of Brockton, MA.

He is survived by his children Leanne Bright, Carol Rodenhiser, Richard Rodrigue, and Nicole Drinkwater; his son-in-laws Kurt Rodenhiser, and Barry Drinkwater; his grandchildren Oliver-John Bright, Jessica Rodenhiser, Nathaniel (Bright) Gomes, Violet Drinkwater, Bailey Drinkwater, Sophia Drinkwater; and his granddaughter- in-law Sophia Gomes.

Leandre, AKA Frenchy, worked his early years as a lumber jack in Canada, served in the US Army as a PVT E-2 (6 months active, 5 years

Reserves) and was employed as a Micro Tool & Dye Maker for nearly 40 years in Whitman, MA.

Leandre enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, skating, shoveling snow, composting and long walks. He also liked playing cards, cribbage and pool. He was an avid reader of the National Geographic. He was a long time member of the Club National of Brockton, where he got his nickname Frenchy.

Leandre was the son of the late Alexandre and Maria Rodrigue. His siblings Claude Rodrigue, Carmelia Broche, the late Alexandrine Fillion and late Théreśe Blais.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 29th at 11:00AM in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont Street (Rt.123) Brockton. Cremation will follow the service and interment will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 4:00PM to 6:00PM. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity in Leandre's name.
