Lena M. (Pupello) Bogdanoff
, 84, of Brockton and formerly of Avon, died Thursday, May 15, 2008 at her home in Brockton under the care of her family and hospice. She was the wife of the late Frank E. Bogdanoff.
Born March 31, 1924 in Avon, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Pupello and Mary G. (Leo) Pupello. Raised in Avon she attended Avon High School. She lived most of her life in Avon until moving to Brockton 3 years ago.
Lena owned Jean's Sportswear in Brockton for 5 years and then owned and operated The Nail Shoppe in Stoughton from 1977 until 1996. She enjoyed traveling and playing Bingo.
She is survived by her daughter, Maryanne Bogdanoff and her companion Mark McMahon of Brockton; her nephew and godchild, Edmund Fortin and his wife Barbara; her niece, MaryAnn Coury, her nephews, Larry Pupello and his wife Patricia and David Miller; she is also survived by many great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John C. Pupello, Mary(Fortin)(Miller) Kiley, and Dominic Pupello and she was the aunt of the late Ralph Miller.
Funeral Information
A funeral service will be held in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Monday, May 19th at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Avon. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Sunday 4:00-7:00PM.
