Online Obituaries Lena M. (Crocetti, Giovanoni) Brown, 100, formerly of Bridgewater and Brockton, passed away Monday, July 29, 2013 at the Royal Cape Cod Nursing Home of Buzzard Bay. She was the wife of the late George J. Brown. Born July 20, 1913 in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Luigi Crocetti and Maria (Antonelli)(Crocetti) Giovanoni. She was raised in Bridgewater, by Albert and Maria (Crocetti) Giovanoni. She moved to Brockton and worked in the shoe factory during World War II. She later owned and operated restaurants in Avon and Brockton. She was very active in Clubs, having served as president of the Anita Garabaldi Lodge #529 Sons of Italy, The Italian Women's Club, The Garden Club of Brockton, and The Women's Club of Brockton. She was a member of the Christopher Columbus Lodge #216 Order Sons of Italy in America and St. Thomas Aquinas Women's Club of Bridgewater. She is survived by her daughter, Irene M. (Brown) Topoulos of Carver; her 4 grandchildren, Robert A. Burns and his wife Carol of Hanson, Gina M. (Bailey) Dwyer and her husband Steve of Middleboro, Maria I. Mann and her husband Eric and Andrew G. Topoulos and his wife Tricia all of Wareham; her 7 great-grandchildren, Kristen, Michael and Andrea Bailey, Mitchell and Samantha Mann and Matthew and Amelia Topoulos; her 2 great-great-granddaughters, Erika and Lyvia; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Eleanor Iampietro, Louis, Alfred and James Giovanoni and mother-in-law of the late Dino Topoulos. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Friday at 8:00AM thence to St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 103 Center St., Bridgewater where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 9:00AM.
