Leo J. Murray, 85, of Stoughton, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia A. (Egan) Murray.
Born November 19, 1932 in Boston, he was the son of the late Thadeus F. "Ted" Murray and Frances (Hynes) Murray.
Leo was a self-employed roofer starting his company in 1963. He was an avid golfer and bowler and a member of the Local Roofers Union 33. He has been a Stoughton resident since 1963.
He is survived by his loving children, Steven Murray and his companion Maria Levin, Patrick Murray, Leo Murray, Jr., Edward Murray and his wife the late Theresa Murray and Karen (Murray) Romeiro; his loving grandchildren, Christopher Murray, Charles Murray, Edward Murray, the late Patricia Murray, Kevin Murray and his companion Michelle and Jayden Romeiro; his great grandchildren, Samantha Murray, Alexander Murray, Nicholas Murray, Harrison Murray, Kyla Murray, Kailyn Murray and Lilly Rego; his great-great grandchild, Lilah; his siblings, Edward Murray, Patricia Kennan, Mary Quinter and Kathleen Clasby; his nephew, John Fanning (Mass. State Police); his niece, Nicole (Fanning) Mason; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Francis Murray, William "Billy" Murray, Theresa Bohn, Helen Bracken and Dorothy Lunnin.
Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Tuesday, April 3rd at 8:30AM thence to Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Monday from 3:00-7:00PM.
