Online Obituaries Leroy "Sonny" Emerson Spring, Jr., 78, of Brockton, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 in Brockton. He was the husband of the late Helen (McGinley) Cove-Spring. Born March 21, 1934 in Boston, he was the son of the late Leroy E. Spring and Olive G. (Barrett) Spring. Sonny was a Carpenter and enjoyed building things. He was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his children, Robbin E. Albertson and Raymond E. Spring; his siblings, Fred O. Spring, Steve G. Spring, Roger Spring, Roy E. Spring, Rory E. Spring, Olive Kashick, Ruth Spera, Royce Finn and Grace Ponzo; he is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Roy E. "Lucky" Spring and Rod E. Spring and brother of the late Ralph E. Spring and Ray E. Spring. Funeral Information Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 17th from 2:00-4:00pm in the D.A.V. Hall, 788 Liberty St., Braintree.
