Lillian E. Pechulis, formerly of Bridgewater, passed peacefully Monday morning at West Acre Nursing Home in Brockton after battling Multiple Myeloma for 23 years.
Lillian was the daughter of Lithuanian immigrants, Frances (Grytaite) Masilionis and George Masilionis, of South Boston and former wife of the late Algrid F. Pechulis of Brockton.
Lillian attended Wilfred Beauty Academy for hairdressing in Boston as well as Boston School of Design. She was a nurse in the Women's Army Corp in WW II, and later continued her service as historian, chaplain, Vice President and then President of Chapter 14 of the Women's Army Corp. She was also a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Massachusetts District 7 and Veteran of the Year in 2000. She served as Treasurer, Junior Vice Commander, and was a past Commander. She also volunteered 1,800 hours at the V.A. Hospital in Brockton. Her name was inscribed on the wall of the Women's Army Corp Memorial in Washington, D.C. Lillian spent many years in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia where her husband worked for the Arabian American Oil Company. She worked for Raytheon Company for 25 years where she worked in Research and Development. Her main focus was always the love and care for her family. She touched many lives and will greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved twin sister Frances Daniels of Tequesta, FL, her son Algrid Pechulis of Taunton, daughter Pamela Asacker and husband Peter Asacker Jr., grandchildren Allison Asacker of Raynham, Nicole and Gregory Colegrove of Easton, great-granddaughter Hope Colegrove as well as twin great-granddaughters on the way.

Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton on Friday, June 7th at 9:00AM thence to St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Thursday 4:00-8:00PM.
