Lim Bun Chin, 63, of Brockton, passed away at his home on Thursday, March 11, 2021; at 3:40am. He was the husband of Sokha Soeung.
Born on July 27, 1957 in Peapjekorng, Kompong Cham, Cambodia, he was the son of Churn Chin and Tankim Ngoun. He graduated from Peapjekorng High School in 1976. He also served in the Cambodian Armed Forces.
He helped construct the Ankor Wat Temple statue in the Dhamagosnaram Buddhist Temple in Johnston, RI.
He enjoyed gardening, cooking, card games, gatherings with friends and family and sharing stories of the past.
In addition to his wife Sokha Soeung, he is survived by his children Sotharath Chin and her husband Chanthoeun Hout, Soklyna Chin and his wife Sophy Song, Soklalin Chin and his wife Soda Chhay, Soklyda Chin and Sokmolykar "Molly" Chin and Chris Sawtelle; grandchildren Soklyseng Chin, Peter Hout, Sophia Chin and Daniya Chin; nephews Yanna Chin and his family, Alexander Thou, Stanley Thou; nieces Sarah Thou, Starleen Thou; and brother-in-law Monyreth Thou.
Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Tuesday, March 16th from 4:00PM-8:00PM. Funeral services will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 17th at 12:00PM followed by a funeral procession to St. Michael's Crematory, 500 Canterbury St., Boston.
