Obituary

Linda J. (Robinson) Day age 62 passed away on Sunday August 7, 2011 peacefully at her home after a long illness. She was the loving wife of Donald J. Day for 33 years. Linda was the mother of Elizabeth Gimler of Grand Cayman Island, Robert Day of Brockton, Sean Allen of Groton, CT and the late Edward Bukunt. She was the grandmother of Tayla Jane Westgate of Grand Cayman Island and Quinn Allen of Groton, CT.
A lifelong resident of Brockton Linda was an honor graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational School nursing program. Linda had worked as a nurse at the Brae Burn Nursing Home in Whitman and prior to her retirement due to illness at Life Care Center in West Bridgewater.
Linda loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, watching the Boston Red Sox and going to Foxwoods. Her journey through her illness was made easier by the support she received from her wonderful friends Kathy Doten, Peter and Brenda Hoffman and Valerie and Andy Bargas.
At Linda’s request her Memorial Service will be private and her ashes will be scattered at sea. Donations in Linda’s name may be made to the Brigham & Women’s Lung Transplant Unit 75 Francis St., Boston, MA 02115
