Obituary

Linda M. (Alfonso) Ross, 73, a 40-year resident of East Bridgewater, died January 12, 2016 at Signature Healthcare-Brockton Hospital. Linda was the devoted wife of James A. Ross for 52 years. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Alcina (Cardoza) Alfonso. Linda was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1961. Selfless, caring and loving, she cherished spending time with her family. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed knitting, watching sports, cooking, scenic road trips and spoiling the family cat Noir.
Linda is also survived by her children James A. Ross, Jr. and his wife Deborah (Miksch), Dean E. Ross and his wife Pamela (Merritt) all of East Bridgewater, and Pamela J. Ross and her fiancé Jonathan Friedman of Boston; grandchildren Aaron, Andrew, Evan and Caroline Ross; nine nieces and nephews and several grand nieces and nephews; sister Ruth E. Merlino of Middleboro and sisters in law Carol Morrill and her husband Ralph of Carver and Ann Donahue and her husband Joseph of Middleboro.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123), Brockton, Wednesday, January 20, 4-6pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 6pm.
