Lisa 'Lu' Nanette Marshall, 52, of Brockton, MA, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 6, 2014.
She was born in Boston, MA on August 14, 1961 to Trancella Marshall and Joseph Norris. Lisa graduated from Brockton High School in 1979 and went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Sociology from the University Of Massachusetts-Boston.
Lisa took pride in working with at risk youth as a Substance Abuse/Education Specialist with the Institute for Health and Recovery and Edco. In her spare time she was active as a school volunteer, participating on the Brockton Parents Advisory Council. She loved Community Service and was an active volunteer Board Member of Mosaic Arts and Culture, Inc. and a past volunteer at the Brockton Boys & Girls Club, Inc.
Lisa is survived by her son, Kevin Joshua Adesanya; her mother, Trancella Marshall; her grandmother, Irene Whipple; her sister, Nina Marshall; her niece, Armin Forde and her father Carson Forde; her father, Joseph Norris; her two brothers, Joseph Jr. and Derrick and her godchildren, Dana Carthy, Danielle Carthy-Burkes, Egypt and Ty Davis, Maryssa Bradley and Lil' Joy as well as a huge host of friends and colleagues.
Funeral Information
Calling hours in the Messiah Baptist Church, 80 Legion Parkway, Brockton on Tuesday, April 15th from 9:00-11:00AM. Her wonderful loving spirit, joy, and inspration will be celebrated in her Homegoing Service at 11:00AM in the church. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
