Lois Caroline (Pickard) Flaherty, 88, of West Bridgewater, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at home under the care of her family and hospice. She was the wife of the late Victor R Flaherty, Sr.

Born March 15, 1935, in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Laura (Wetzell) Pickard. Lois was raised in Brockton and graduated from Brockton High School and Bentley School of Accounting and Finance.

For many, many years, Lois was a member of the WBYAA and worked tirelessly beside her husband. Known as Mom, Grandma or Lolo, she was all about family and never missed a family function. Being together made her happy! She watched concerts, plays, and games that her children were involved in and then again when her grandchildren started! She never missed a game or performance. She delivered meals on wheels and supported her husband with all his community service.

She is survived by her children, Sue Centrella and her partner, Charlie Bruni, Betty Tighe and her husband, Philip, Judy Burnap, Vic Flaherty, Jr. and his wife, Jacquie, Rich Flaherty and his wife, Missy and son in law, Don Wood. Her grandchildren Kerri, Mike, Tim, Sean, Jenny, Lauren, Jeff, Andy, Missy, Rachel, Ashley, Brianna, Amanda and Brian. Her great grandchildren Alyssa, Jason, Abby, Anden, Norah, Logan, Emma, Keegan, Torin and Calum. She is also survived by her sister, Dottie Allen of Arizona and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debby Wood and her brother, Ross Pickard.

Funeral services will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main Street., (RT 28) West Bridgewater on Monday, February 26th at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetary, West Bridgewater. Calling hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the West Bridgewater Food Pantry.
