Lois A. (McElroy) Talbot, 83, of South Easton, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021. She was the wife of Walter "Wally" J. Talbot.
Born on December 20, 1937 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late William F. McElroy and Eleanor F. (Lewis) McElroy.
Lois was a loving mother and homemaker to her children and husband. She enjoyed cooking for family and was famous for her delicious red pepper jelly that she prepared every Christmas for all her friends and family. She was also known as "The Waffle Lady" at multiple fairs for her delicious waffles.
She served as president of the West Bridgewater Outdoorsman Sports Club for many years, where she enjoyed managing and cooking at many of the fun events for members.
Christmas was very special to Lois and she enjoyed time spent with her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed camping and blue grass festivals at Thomas Point and Blistered Fingers, both in Maine.
She was a regular at Fryberg Fair every year where she enjoyed watching the horse competitions and eating Big Toms Donuts.
She enjoyed travel after her children were grown and accompanied her husband on business trips to England, Ireland, and North Carolina and took many cruises with family and friends.
Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her precious children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She would host dinner for 40 at Christmas and have special gifts selected for all.
In addition to her husband Wally, Lois is survived by her children, Cheryl Alves and her husband Stephen, Alan Talbot and his wife Linda, Gary Talbot and his wife Elizabeth and Janice Webber and her husband Kevin; 15 beloved grandchildren; and soon to be 21 great-grandchildren. She was the beloved aunt to several nieces and nephews; and special friend to many. She was predeceased by her siblings, the late Sharon Moore O'Brien, Walter McElroy and William McElroy.
She will remain forever in our hearts.
