Lorene Dumornay, 63, passed away at the dawn of October 20th 2019, surrounded by her loving family.
She was the beloved wife of Joseph Dumornay and a cherished mother to Mitchel and Danielle Dumornay.
Born in La Tortue, Haiti, Lorene was the daughter of the late Dominique Fenelon and Elvire Jean-Jacques. Lorene was raised in Port-de-Paix, Haiti before moving to the United States in 1987.
She was the loving sister of Adel Fenelon-Leconte, Berthonis Fenelon, Marcel Fenelon, Jeanide Mompremier, Jocelyn Fenelon, Veronique Leveille, Natael Fenelon, Jean-Baptiste Fenelon, Gabard Fenelon, Previlien Fenelon and the late Elizabeth Fenelon and Victoria Jean. In addition, she was the warm-hearted aunt to many nieces and nephews, a cousin to several and a friend to all.
In her youth, Lorene was an active member of Kiwo, a Catholic youth organization in the Haiti. For 30+ years, she worked hard as a Nursing Assistant and she enjoyed what she did.
Lorene was an easygoing and peaceful woman who was loved by many. She was proud of her family and was well known for her divine cooking. As a woman of God, Lorene incorporated kindness and compassion into everything she did.
Lorene will be dearly missed by many and forever in our hearts.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 10:00AM at Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton, Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:00am to 10:00am in the CHURCH.
