Louis M. Colombo, of Brockton and Sandwich, died on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at the Life Care Center of West Bridgewater. He was ninety-two years old.
Louis was the loving husband of the late Blanche (Verbiski) Colombo and the beloved father of Michelle Gain and her husband, David of Bridgewater, Louis M. Colombo, Jr. and his wife, Donnette of Sandwich, Mark Colombo and his wife, Carmen of San Diego, California. He was devoted to his grandchildren, Jonathan Gain and Jessica Schmitchel, Peter, Michael, Zachary, Christopher and Sara Colombo and his great-granddaughters, Emma and Julia Schmitchel. He was the proud brother of Vincent "Tullie", Richard "Dino" and Armond Colombo and Uncle Lou to many nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by his parents, Michelangelo and Giovina Colombo; his brothers, Robert and Michael Colombo and his sister, Carmella "Millie" Raymond.
Louis was a Master Plumber by trade, owner of Louis M. Colombo Plumbing and Heating Inc. and a member of Local 276 for sixty-five years.
He was a gentle and kind man whose family was the center of his life.
Funeral Information
Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (RT123) Brockton on Saturday, March 31st from 3:00 - 6:00 PM followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 6:00 PM. Interment at the Town Cemetery in Sandwich on Monday, April 2, 2012, will be private.
There will be a Memorial Mass for Louis and Blanche Colombo on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 10:15 AM at St. Patrick Church in Brockton.
