Online Obituaries Louis B. Pina, Sr., 68, of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. He was the husband of Frances (Watson) Pina. Born January 3, 1946 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Leopold Pina and Louise (Pina) Pina. A lifelong Brockton resident, he graduated from Brockton High School and attended Massasoit College and Bridgewater State College. Louis was a Brockton Police Officer for over 30 years. He was an avid golfer and an enthusiastic fan of the Patriots and Celtics. He was a lifelong member of Messiah Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Frances (Watson) Pina; his children, Rena Pina, Victoria Pina and Louis B. Pina, Jr.; his five grandchildren; his siblings, the late Alice Bullock, Philomena Marshall, Jane Smith, Martin Pina, Elizabeth Luciano and Mildred Santos. Funeral Information CHANGE OF SERVICE LOCATION A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 11, at 11:00am in the Messiah Baptist Church, 80 Legion Parkway, Brockton, MA 02301. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours will be prior to the service from 9:00-11:00am in the church.
