Louise A. (Altomare) Marshall, 89 years, resident of N. Easton formerly of Brockton died Wednesday, February 15, 2006, at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a brief illness. She was born in Somerville, a daughter of the late Louis and Lucy (Ligouri) Altomare. She was raised and educated in Somerville and was a graduate of Cambridge Ridge & Latin High School in N. Cambridge. For the past 16 years she had been a resident of North Easton and previously had lived in Brockton for many years.
During WW II she worked as an electrician's helper at the Charlestown Navy Yard and following the war she was an electronic inspector for Raytheon in Watertown. She had been an executive housekeeper at the Sheraton in Boston. She was an avid scrabble and cribbage player and also enjoyed needle work, reading and game shows.
She is survived by two daughters, Joan Coy of N. Easton, Eleanor Fermanian and her husband Adom of Brockton, a son, Bishop Joseph J. Gouthro,DD and his wife Patricia Poole of North Las Vegas, NV, 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews
She was the wife of the late John Willis “Red” Marshall, sister of the late Mildred Boynton, Mae Hamel, Eleanor McGowan, mother of the late Lois Krank and grandmother of the late John Krank.
A Funeral Mass was held Saturday at Christ the King Parish (St. Colman) Church, presided by her son Bishop Joseph J. Gouthro, DD and celebrated by Rev. Richard Visbisky, the Chaplain of Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
