Obituary

Louise H. (Murphy) Hobson, 88 years, lifelong of Brockton died January 24, 2011 at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She was the wife of the late Harry M. Hobson, Jr. and daughter of the late John J. and Rose (Clairmont) Murphy. For many years Louise had been employed by the Brockton School System as a Bus Monitor and Teachers Aide. She enjoyed traveling, and time with her grand and great grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters Susan J. Hahesy of Haverhill, MA and Patricia A. Deen and her husband William of Peachtree City, GA; a son John J. Hobson and his wife Nancy of Scituate; five grandchildren, three great grandsons; a brother Lawrence A. Murphy and his wife Charlotte of Brockton, sisters in law Marguerite Barry of Brockton and Phyllis Murphy of NY and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John J. Murphy, Jr.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 12:30pm, with visitation prior to the service 11:30am-12:30pm. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery. Donations in her name may be made to Emmanuel House, 25 East Nilsson Street, Brockton, MA, 02301.
