Brockton Police Lieutenant James G. Baroud, 49, of West Bridgewater, died Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
Born in Quincy on January 12, 1973, he was the son of George L. Baroud and the late Carol Ann Baroud.
James graduated from Xaverian Brothers High School in 1991 and served in the United States Coast Guard. He received his Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.
James was a Lieutenant in the Brockton Police Department for the last 20 years. Prior to his employment in Brockton, James served as a police officer in Easton for 5 years.
He was an active member of St. Theresa Maronite Catholic Church in Brockton. In his spare time, James loved to read, watch movies and work out. He thoroughly enjoyed his time spent at Vagabond CrossFit gym and treasured the friendships he made there. But his favorite thing to do was spend time with his children. His happiest moments in life involved his family, whether it was on the sidelines at the soccer field, on a family bike ride, or relaxing at a movie. His kids owned his heart.
In addition to his father, James is survived by his wife Kathleen "Katie" T. Baroud; his children George Baroud and Joanna Baroud; and his sister Allison Stone and her husband Linwood. He also leaves a niece Lauren Stone and nephews Christian Stone and Xavier Rappoli.
