Luana T. (McWain) Giardina of Brockton died suddenly at home on October 31, 2020. She was born on June 18, 1947 in Batavia, N. Y., the daughter of the late Robert and Marian (Skellen) McWain and the sister of the late Harold "Pat" McWain and Andrew J. McWain, Jr.
Luana was the loving wife of Nicholas S. Giardina, Sr., her husband and best friend of 50 years. She is also survived by her daughter Suzanne Clinton (Mason) of Brockton; sons Nicholas Jr. of Brockton and his fiancé Andrea Lusardi of Easton; Joseph and his wife Nicole of Hanover.
She will be greatly missed by all her grandchildren: Savannah Clinton; Nicholas, Nathan and Andrew Giardina; Jordan Spitalieri and her husband Anthony; Skye Howard and Noey Giardina; great-grandchildren: Leonardo, Pippa and Giuseppe Spitalieri and nieces and nephews: Andy McWain III, Jennifer McWain, Erin Archer, Patricia Harder and Tracy Gabrielle.
Luana was the most devoted mother and supported her sons through all their sports, never missing a single game.
She enjoyed being out in the sun and was an avid reader. A talented crocheter, she created beautiful angels and afghans for each of her children and grandchildren. She was known for her cooking and baking, especially baking Christmas cookies with all her grandchildren.
Luana was selfless, always doing for others. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, her gym coworkers of 14 years and her dogs, Gizmo, Gigi and Teddy.
