Ludgero Mendes Alves, 96, of Brockton, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. He was the husband of the late Teodora Andrade. Born March 12, 1923 in Fogo, Cape Verde, he was the son of the late Leno Andrade Alves and Antonia Mendes. He is survived by his children, Maria Rodrigues, Manuel Alves, Pedro Alves, Adiero Alves, Rosaria Alves, Teodora Mendes, Silvestre Alves, Odette Alves, Armina "Dina" Alves, Maria "Lalinha" Alves, Antonio "Henrique" Alves, Francisco "Vasco" Alves, John "Napolean" Alves, Ildo Alves, Candido Alves, Fatinha Fernandes, Maria "Djudju" Gomes, Nicalau "Nenezinho" Miranda, Maria "Antonia" Cardoso, Jonia Miranda, and Cipranio "Tchita" Miranda; 67 grandchildren; and 57 great grandchildren. **CHANGE OF TIMES** Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Saturday, June 1st from 12:00-4:00PM.
