Lula E. (Silva) Spillane, 86, of Taunton passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at her home under the care of her family and hospice. She was the wife of the late Daniel J. Spillane, Sr.
Born in Bridgewater on February 8, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Angelica Silva.
Lula worked in the cafeteria in the Rose L. McDonald school in West Bridgewater.
Lula was a wonderful mom who loved her family, grandchildren, great-granchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. She enjoyed going to casinos, playing bingo, planting and gardening, spending time with her neighbors and dogs. She also enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners and was especially known for delivering brownies.
She is survived by her children Daniel Spillane, Jr. and Chris, Danielle Donovan and Timothy, Donna Smith and Geoff, Helen Spillane and David Lynch and Shawn Spillane and Deborah; her grandchildren Justine, Daniel. III., Autumn, Jonathan, Chuck, Ryan, Chantel and Shawn Martin; her great-grandchildren Geoffrey, Kayla, Olivia, Greyson and Harlie; her sisters in law Helen "Tootie" Pateline and her husband Eddie and June Silva; and her special neighbors Joe and Arnez Chaves and Lia Furtado. She was predeceased by her siblings Edmund Silva, George Silva, Eddie Silva and Juliet Brunetti.
Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt.123) Brockton on Tuesday, November 23rd from 9:00AM-12:00PM followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
