Obituary

Mabel M. (Readdy) Silveri, age 108, a longtime resident of Norton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center. She was the wife of the late Romeo Silveri. Born and raised in Brockton, Mabel was a daughter of the late John A. and Bridget A. (Morris) Readdy. She was a 1925 graduate of St. Patrick High School. Mabel worked for Dartmouth Shoe Company for many years. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, bowling, playing cards, and crossword puzzles.

Mabel is survived by her niece and nephew, Joan M. Barret and her husband Robert of South Easton and Robert F. Bentcourt and his wife Rita of Bridgewater. She also leaves many great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Florence Cabral, John Readdy and Alice Walkus. She was also the aunt of the late Nancy Pires, Peter A. Walkus and John Bentcourt.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Monday 9-10am with a funeral service at 10am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery.
