Macaria Rufina "Rufie" Cutipa went to heaven on October 19th, 2022 at the age of 70.

Rufie was born in Maca-Arequipa, Peru on February 28, 1952. At the age of 17, she moved to Lima, Peru where she worked as a nanny for many years. She later attended nursing school and graduated in 1977. She moved to the United States in 1988 to take care of her grandson and to pursue the American Dream. And she spent the next 30 years working hard, and taking care of her family and those she loved. There was never a day that went by where she didn't help her family, support a friend, or touch the heart of someone new she met.

Rufie was the most loving, caring and compassionate soul. She dedicated her life to help and support those she loved, both around her and back in Peru. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, music, watching movies, the outdoors, being around family & friends, and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic and regularly attended Holy Family Church.

Rufie is survived by her children and grandchildren, Cecilia, Karl Jr., Jessica, Justin, Javen, Janiyah, and Jett. And also her closest brother Felipe, her niece Samantha, and her brother Karl Sr. She is also survived by many other brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.

Calling hours will be in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 17 Main St., (RT105) Lakeville on Sunday, October 23 from 1-4pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Holy Family Church in East Taunton on Monday, October 24 at 11:30am.
