Madeline Marie (Mulcahy) Moreira, 84, of West Bridgewater passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after a short period of failing health. She was the loving wife of Eldon F. Moreira over the past 62 years. Madeline was born in Boston on December 9, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Mulcahy and Mary (Glynn) Mulcahy. In addition to her husband, Madeline is survived by her children Patricia A. Williams and her husband Robert of Medfield, Robert J. Moreira of Brockton and David D. Moreira and his wife Robin of Northborough as well as her grandchildren Justin Williams and his wife Emily, Katelyn (Williams) Dumas and her husband Timothy, Stephen Williams, Cameron Moreira, Adam Moreira and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Virginia Hernon, Annette Barker, Dorothea DeFeo, Francis Mulcahy, Eleanor DeLuco, Laurence Mulcahy and Claire Johnson. Madeline was a loving mother and grandmother who treasured spending summers at the beach with her family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Calling hours for family and friends will be held at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., (Rt.28) West Bridgewater, Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 PM. Funeral procession will commence on Friday, August 20th at 10:00 AM from the funeral home then to St. Ann Church, 103 N. Main St., West Bridgewater where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, donations in Madeline's memory can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
