Obituary

Manuel G. Andrade died Saturday at the Northeast Specialty Hospital in Braintree after a brief illness. He was born in Santiago, Cape Verde, son of Maria Garcia Tavares of Santiago and the late Atanasio Andrade.He was raised and educated in Cape Verde and had been a resident of Brockton since 1989. While living in Cape Verde he was an elementary school teacher. He had been a chef in a Boston Restaurant. His hobby was cooking and entertaining for his family and friends. He enjoyed following soccer and making picture frames.

He is survived by a son, Gilson Andrade and a daughter Olga Andrade both of Brockton and his brothers and sisters, Jose Andrade, Filomeno Andrade and Lourenco Andrade all of Brockton, Laurentino Andrade and Gabriel Andrade both of Portugal, Maria Jose Andrade, Andreza Andrade, Isabel Andrade, Celestina Andrade, Maria Rosario Andrade and Marcelo Andrade all of Cape Verde and many nieces and nephews.
