Manuel Santos Monteiro, 65, of Brockton, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. He was the husband of Judite C. (Ramos) Monteiro. Born in Fogo, Cape Verde on October 24, 1954, he was the son of the late Cesario and Candida (Goncalves) Monteiro. Manuel loved his family and loved helping his family and friends. He enjoyed soccer, especially his team from Portugal, Benfica, and he enjoyed card games. In addition to his wife Judite, Manuel is survived by his sons Nelson Monteiro and Gary Monteiro; his grandson Mason Monteiro; his sisters Maria Goncalves, Adelina Gomes, Ana Mazziatto, Natalia Lopes and Maria Veiga; and by many adoring nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters in law, and an extensive line of relatives and friends. He was also the brother of the late Antonio Gomes. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, services will be private.
