Manuel S. Sargo, Jr. Manuel S. Sargo, Jr. , 82, of West Bridgewater, died Friday evening, March 7, 2008 at his home in West Bridgewater. He was the husband of Maria D. (DeLourdes) Sargo and the late Rita M. (Jordan) Sargo. Born June 28, 1925 in Stoughton, he was the son of the late Manuel S. Sargo and Matilda (Correia) Sargo. Raised in Stoughton he then served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Sargo was a retired Custodian from the City of Brockton School Department and was a Union Business Manager for the Laborers International Union, Local Union 138 where he was a member for 52 years. He has been a West Bridgewater resident for the last 19 years and had previously lived in Brockton. He enjoyed gardening. He is survived by his wife, Maria D. (DeLourdes) Sargo of West Bridgewater; his children, Christine L. Williams (Captain, US Public Health Services) of Houston, Texas, Donna M. Sgro of Fresno, Texas, Wayne M. Sargo (Captain, Brockton Police Dept) of Bridgewater, David R. Sargo (Business Manager, Laborers Local Union 138) of North Attleboro, Dianne M. Boeker of Tomball, Texas, and Dennis A. Sargo of Dallas, Texas; his stepchildren, Carlos Santos, Alcindo DeAndrade, Alcinda DeAndrade all of Brockton, and Anilton DeAndrade of New Bedford; his sisters, Mary Melo of Brockton and Virginia O'Connell of Stoughton; his sister-in-law and longtime family friend, Phyllis Keating of Brockton; he is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was the husband of the late Rita M. (Jordan) Sargo and the brother of the late William and Elizabeth Sargo. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Wednesday, March 12th at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in High Street Cemetery, Whitman. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Tuesday 4:00-8:00PM.
