Manuel "Manny" Sarras
, 69, of Raynham, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, October 20, 2009 at the Morton Hospital in Taunton. He was the husband of Voula (Thalasinou) Sarras.
Born February 23, 1940 in Greece, he was the son of the late Aristides Sarras and Maria (Padiotis) Sarras.
Mr. Sarras came to the United States of America in 1969 and became the owner and operator of Sarras Kennels and Fast Track Kennels. He enjoyed greyhounds and greyhound racing. He was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Brockton. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Voula (Thalasinou) Sarras; his sons, Steve Sarras and his wife Rhonda of West Virginia and Andrew Sarras of Bridgewater; his grandchildren, Nikolas, Alexandra, and Nina; his brothers and sisters, Nicholas Sarras and Kerry Kuhn, Tina Smilitopoulos, Elaine Maxouris, John Sarras, Rena Gaitanaros, Evangelia Kotakis, and Elftheria Masiou; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Saturday, October 24th at 11:00AM followed by a funeral service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton at 12:00PM. The Rev. Anthony Evangelatos will officiate. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Friday 5:00-8:00PM.
