Marcia M. (Phaneuf) Rideout Marcia M. (Phaneuf) Rideout , 64, of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at her home in Brockton. She was the beloved wife of Gerald D. Rideout (Brockton Police Dept., Retired). Marcia was born March 17, 1945 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Phaneuf and Beatrice V. (Johnson) Phaneuf. A lifelong Brockton resident, she graduated from Brockton High School in 1963. Marcia worked as a clerk for New England Beauty and Barber and also was an independent Home Interior Designer. In the past, she loved bowling, dancing, and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed vacationing in Aruba and at Bourne Scenic Park. She is survived by her husband, Gerald D. Rideout of Brockton; her children, Rene Rideout and Douglas Rideout and his wife Holly (Thistle) Rideout all of Bridgewater; her pride and joy grandchildren, Danielle, Zachary, and Hannah; her brothers and sisters, Gene Prouty and her husband David of Bridgewater, Larry Phaneuf of Texas, Paul Phaneuf and his wife Sandy of Pembroke, Lynda Manning and her husband Dennis of Florida, and Mark Phaneuf and his girlfriend Sheila of Brockton; her aunt, Rita Kingsley of Taunton; her grandpuppies, Daisy and Buddy; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews whom she adored. She was the sister of the late Peter Phaneuf. Funeral Information A Memorial Gathering will be held in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Sunday, November 29th from 12:00-2:30PM followed by a prayer service at 2:30PM.
