Obituary

Marcus M. Root, age 54, of Brockton, died unexpectedly May 10, 2018. He was the husband of the late Molly Jane (Meissner) Root and son of Fayette C. Root, MD and M. Alexandra (Simich) Root of Brockton.

Marcus was born in Bethesda, MD and raised in Washington, DC and Massachusetts. He attended Fessenden School, Tabor Academy, Brockton High School and received his BS degree in Geology from Northeastern University. At the time of his passing, Marcus was a member of Union IATSE, Local 11, and had been employed in Theater Event Production in Boston for over ten years. Marcus was interested in history, science and mathematics.

In addition to his parents, Marcus is survived by his sister Tatyana I. Root, an aunt and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral, 165 Park Drive, Boston later. Burial will be at a later date in Vermont.
