Obituary

Margaret C. Doherty, 96 years of East Bridgewater, formerly of Brockton, died Thursday at the Sachem Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a period of failing health.

Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Carrie M. (Heffernan) Matthews. She was raised in Maine and graduated from the Edward Little High School in Auburn Maine. She was also a graduate of Lesley College in Cambridge. Mrs. Doherty was a homemaker and was the wife of the late John F. Doherty. She had been a member of the East Auburn Grange and American Association of Retired Persons

Margaret is survived by a sister in law Marie Doherty, nephew Edward Doherty and niece Beverly Goding.

A Graveside Service will be held in Union Cemetery, Brockton on Wednesday at 10am.
