McCarthy of Brockton May 14, 2005 Margaret M. McCarthy 87 years. Daughter of the late Timothy and Ellen (Dineen) McCarthy. Sister of Catherine R. Powderly, Eileen B. McCarthy, Mary E. McCarthy and Timothy J. McCarthy all of Brockton.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday at 9 am. Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish at 10 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-7 pm.

Obituary

Miss McCarthy died Saturday morning in St. Joseph Manor following a brief illness. She was born in Brockton a daughter of the late Timothy and Ellen (Dineen) McCarthy and remained a lifelong resident of the city. She was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1935 and Bridgewater Normal School Class of 1940. Before her retirement she was an elementary teacher for 38 years at the Central School in East Bridgewater. She had been a member of the Plymouth County Retired Teachers Association.
Miss McCarthy had been a longtime communicant of St. Margaret Church where she had been a member of the Ladies Sodality and the Legion of Mary.
She was the sister of Catherine R. Powderly, Eileen B. McCarthy, Mary E. McCarthy and Timothy J. McCarthy all of Brockton.
