Murphy, of South Dennis, formerly of Brockton, December 23, 2006, Margaret M. Murphy, 96 years. Daughter of the late Michael J. and Nora (Twomey) Murphy. Sister of the late Sister Michaelina SCN, Mary, Eugene, John and Michael Murphy and Clover Palm. Aunt of several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Wednesday at 9am. Funeral Mass in Christ the King/St. Colman Church at 10am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Tuesday 4-7pm.

Obituary Information

Margaret M. Murphy, 96 years of South Dennis, formerly of Brockton, died Saturday at West Acres Nursing Home, Brockton, after a brief illness. Born and raised in Brockton she was a daughter of the late Michael J. and Nora (Twomey) Murphy. She was a graduate of St. Patrick High School and had been employed by New England Telephone Company for over 45 years, retiring as Chief Operator. She had been a resident of South Dennis for the past 30 years, enjoyed traveling, golf, cards and was a member of New England Telephone Pioneers. While a resident of Brockton she was active in St. Colman’s Church and while in South Dennis was active in Pius X Church in S. Yarmouth.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Sister Michaelina SCN, Mary, Eugene, John and Michael Murphy and Clover Palm.
