Obituary

Margaret A. “Peg” Keohane, 87 years, of Brockton died September 13, 2008 at St. Joseph Manor. A lifelong resident of Brockton, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Ellen (Ahearn) Keohane. Peg graduated from St. Patrick High School, Boston City Hospital School of Nursing, Boston College School of Nursing and obtained a Masters degree in Education from Bridgewater State College. She was a Nurse Practitioner and Instructor, Director of Medical Surgical Nursing at Brockton Hospital and spent three years as a Lieutenant in the Navy Nurse Corps during WWII. Peg was a member of the Brockton Chapter AARP, Twentieth Century Catholic Club, Friends of the Brockton Council on Aging, Senior Citizens League and The Humane Society.

She is survived by many Monahan and Keohane nieces and nephews and was the sister of the late Agnes, Catherine and John Keohane and Mary Monahan.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday at 9am. Funeral mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Tuesday 5-7pm.
