Obituary

Margaret E. (Maxim) (Demers) Robbins, age 54, of Halifax, formerly of Brockton and Madison, Maine, died December 22, 2011 at Good Samaritan Medical Center following a period of failing health. Born in Wareham, she was the daughter of Irene B. (Moran) Maxim of West Bridgewater and the late David A. Maxim. She was raised and educated in Brockton and had been a longtime resident until moving to Maine for three years. Peggy was a funny, independent practical joker; an avid reader and enjoyed sewing and crafts. Her grandchildren gave her great joy in her life.

In addition to her mother she is survived by her children Patrick Demers of Plymouth and Kelly and Jason Robbins both of Madison, Maine, six grandchildren Dana and David Demers, Allison and Victoria Sulkala, and Brian and Tyler Robbins; a sister Roxanne Hannigan of Halifax, a special niece Brittany Waugh and nephew Bradford Maxim and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late David A. Maxim, Jr.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday 5-8pm, followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress Street, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210, click here or the charity of your choice.
