Obituary

Marguerite V. (Hobson) Pearson-Barry age 96 of Brockton died Friday January 4, 2019 at Southwood at Norwell after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late John E. “Jack” Barry.

Marguerite was born and raised in Brockton a daughter of the late Harry and Katherine (Currie) Hobson and had remained a lifelong resident of the city. A 1940 graduate of Brockton High School, she had been a manager of Stanley Home Products for many years.

In her free time, Marguerite enjoyed traveling with her husband and trips to casinos. She will be remembered as a people person who was outgoing and caring for others.

Marguerite is survived by her daughter Kathleen A. Willfong and her husband Donald of Brockton and two grandchildren Erin Robert and Stacy Willfong and her longtime companion Marc Oshry. She was the sister of the late Barbara Calderwood and Harry Hobson, Jr. and leaves many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton on Tuesday at 11 am with visitation 10-11am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery.
