Online Obituaries Maria A. Lopes, 90, of Brockton, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016 at her home in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Boaventura De Andrade. Born April 4, 1926 in Fogo, Cape Verde she was a daughter of the late Francisco Soares Rosa Lopes and Laurenca (Rodrigues) Lopes. Maria was raised in Cape Verde. She enjoyed music, dancing, cooking and telling stories. She is survived by her children, Agostinho A. Lopes, Ameila Andrade Lopes, Luisa M. Monteiro, Antonia Fernandes, Olivia Rodrigues, Manuela Lopes, and Carmen Andrade; her siblings, Alirio Lopes, Maria Amelia Barros, Dorty Rodrigues, Joao Da Rosa, Margarida De Pina, Carmen Rosa, Francisco Da Rosa and Eugenia Mendes. She is also survived by her several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Ernesto Lopes and Carlos Lopes. Funeral Information Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 9th at the Nova Alianca Church of Nazarene, 38 Mystic Street Brockton at 10:00AM. Interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the funeral home on Friday from 5:00PM - 9:00PM.
