Maria G. (Barbosa) DaRosa Maria G. (Barbosa) Da Rosa, 85, of Brockton and formerly of Taunton, died Friday, June 13, 2008 at the Copley at Stoughton. She was the wife of the late Antonio De Rosa. Born March 14, 1923 in Brava, Cape Verde, she was the daughter of the late Severino Barbosa and Julianna (Galvao) Barbosa. Mrs. Da Rosa worked in a curtain factory for several years and she enjoyed crocheting. She was a resident of Taunton before moving to Brockton and was a communicant of St. Anthony Church in Taunton and St. Edith Stein Parish in Brockton. She is survived by her sisters, Benvinda Faria and Maria J. Santos both of Brockton; she is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Carolina Tavares. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Monday, June 16th at 9:00AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton at 10:00AM.
