Maria L. Andrade Fernandes Maria L. Andrade Fernandes , 88, of Brockton, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2011 at the Hellenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Canton. She was the wife of Antonio Fernandes. Born January 10, 1923 in Fogo, Cape Verde, she was the daughter of the late Joaquim and Gertrude Alves. She is also survived by her children, Maria Vicente, Antonio Euclide Fernandes, Florencio Fernandes, Gertrude Andrade, Joaquim Fernandes, Carlos Fernandes, Edite Fernandes and George Fernandes. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Friday, November 18th at 8:00AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton at 9:00AM.
