Online Obituaries Maria G. (Ampelikotou) Lenton, 83, of Brockton, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017 at her residence under the care of her family and hospice after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Antonio Lenton. Born April 13, 1934 in Mytelene, Greece she was a daughter of the late George Ampelikotou and Anna (Kaliac) Ampelikotou. Maria was raised and educated in Greece. She was trained as a seamstress in Greece. Maria also enjoyed crocheting and cross stitching. She loved to cook. She was very involved with cooking for the Greek Festivals at her church. She was a member of the ladies philoptochos society. She is survived by her two children, Luis A. Lenton and Toula Sherry; her grandchildren, James David, Michael Luis, Daniel Anthony, Nicholas Alexander, Marianna, Christina and Anna; her siblings, Stratis Ampelikotou and Mersina Thouramangis. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews from Greece, Australia and the United States. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (RT123) Brockton on Friday, November 3rd at 10:00AM followed by a Funeral Service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in the Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00PM-7:00PM.
