Maria (Pinto) DaRosa Miranda Maria (Pinto) DaRosa Miranda , 57, of Brockton, died Monday, June 16, 2008 at her home in Brockton under the care of her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Jose DaRosa. Born December 25, 1950 in Brava, Cape Verde, she was the daughter of Francisca (Lopes) Pinto of Brockton and the late Joao Antonio Pinto. Mrs. Miranda was a seamstress before her illness. She was devoted to her family, her grandchildren, and her home and was known for always smiling. She was a Brockton resident for the last 25 years and was a communicant of St. Edith Stein Parish. She is survived by her husband, Jose DaRosa; her children, Joao DaRosa, Maria DaRosa Jordan and her husband Dana, Jose DaRosa, Antonio DaRosa, Ana DaRosa, and Nilton DaRosa; her grandchildren, Anthony, Anayah, and Julius; she is also survived by several cousins. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Saturday, June 21st at 9:00AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton at 10:00AM.
