Online Obituaries Marian T. (Holloway) Simmons, 93, of East Bridgewater passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Frank R. Simmons. Born May 13, 1922 in Taunton, MA she was the daughter of the late George and Thelma (Briggs) Holloway. Marian was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1940 as well as from the former Williams Business School. She was a life member of the Massachusetts Society of Mayflower Descendants, a charter member of the Brockton Historical Society and was also active in the Old Colony and the Old Bridgewater Historical Societies. A 56 year member of the Brockton Chapter #87 Order of the Eastern Star and a communicant of the Anglican Parish of St. Pauls in Brockton. She is survived by her two sons, Rodney B. Simmons, Sr., and his wife Edwina and Daryl W. Simmons and his wife Margaret; daughter in law, Janice Simmons; seven grandchildren, Scott, Shawn, Rodney, Jr., Lindsay Reardon, Brad, Jeff and Christopher and seven great grandchildren, Victor, Kelsey, Kayla, Jacob, Bella, Nathan and Kallie. She was also the mother of the late Paul R. Simmons. Funeral Information A funeral service will be held on Friday at 9:30AM in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt.123) Brockton. Interment will follow in Mayflower Hill Cemetery, Taunton, MA. Calling hours in the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00PM.
