Mariana R. (Teixeira) Davila, 77, of Brockton passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She was the wife of Joaquin Davila for 46 years.
Born May 6, 1939 in Brava, Cape Verde she was a daughter of the late Manuel Teixeira and Domingas (Ribeiro) Teixeira. Mariana was the owner of a Botanica Gift Shop in Cape Verde. She was a very religious person, always willing to help others in their time of need. She loved her family dearly and was also loved by others. She was a communicant of St. Margarets Church in Brockton until it closed and also St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish.
She is survived by her husband, Joaquin Davila; her children, John Lopes Teixeira, Carlos Andrade and his longtime partner, Wanda Zayas, Oliviero Lopes, Paulo Lopes, Mario Lopes De Barros, Elvis Davila and Marrilee Davila; her several grandchildren; her siblings, Lilly Lopes and Victoria De Veiga and her several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was the sister of the late Nato Teixeira and Vivi Teixeira.

Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton on Wednesday, November 9th at 8:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein/ St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton at 9:00AM. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00PM - 8:00PM.
