Online Obituaries Marie R. (Stratoti) Bloomstein, 82, of Halifax and formerly of Brockton, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the Signature Health Care Brockton Hospital. She was happily married to Joseph S. Bloomstein for 60 years. Born May 22, 1932 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Augie Stratoti and Emily (Uberti) Stratoti. Raised in Brockton, she graduated from Brockton High School in 1950. Marie worked as a Dental Hygentist and retired from King Size Shoe Factory in Brockton. She enjoyed spending the winters in Anna Maria Island, Florida. She and her husband enjoyed sitting on the beach. She also enjoyed traveling, taking cruises and flowers. She is survived by her sons, Barry L. Bloomstein and his wife Kathleen of Sharon and Augie J. Bloomstein and his fianc Licia Merritt of Pembroke; her grandchildren, Kaitlin, Emily, Augie, Jr., Shelly and Johnny; her sisters, Rena Dutra and her husband Robert of Bridgewater and Linda Waitekunas and her husband Dennis of FL; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Wednesday, Sept. 3rd at 8:00AM thence to St. Edith Stein/St. Edwards Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 9:00AM.
