Marie Elaine (Tremblay) Sergio, 73, of Bridgewater, passed away Friday, January 24, 2020 at her home in Bridgewater under the care of her family and hospice. She was the beloved wife of Joseph R. Sergio (retired Brockton Fire Dept). They were married on September 11, 1966 in St Margaret Church in Brockton. Born April 10, 1946 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Tremblay and Eleanor E. (Leonard) Tremblay. Raised in Brockton, she attended Brockton Public Schools. Marie was a bookkeeper but was devoted to raising her daughter and caring for her two grandchildren. She enjoyed painting, traveling, quilting, gardening, cooking, creating floral arrangements, wintering in Florida on the beach and loved her Dunkin Donuts Ice Coffee. She most especially enjoyed spending time with her family and attended her grandchildren's school functions. She found pride in donating food and clothes to local churches. In addition to her husband Joe, she is survived by her daughter Andrea Marie Sergio Vieira and her husband Victor; her grandchildren, Lindsay Marie Vieira and Ryan Joseph Vieira; her siblings, Dianne Tremblay, Raymond Tremblay and his wife Dolores, David Tremblay and his wife Susan and Eleanor Berghold and her husband Peter; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Jean Salimini and Dorothy Pagani. Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., (Rt28) West Bridgewater on Thursday, January 30th at 9:00AM thence to St. Ann Church, 103 North Main St., West Bridgewater where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Calling hours Wednesday 4:00-8:00PM.
