Obituary

Marie Ketty Exilus, affectionately known as "Kekette" to those close to her, was born on October 11, 1963 in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti and peacefully passed away on September 1, 2023 in Boston, Massachusetts. She was the youngest child of Desir and Carmen Exilus. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and enduring affection.

Marie Ketty studied at the Centre Classique Féminin and later graduated from the College Omega. In pursuit of new opportunities, she immigrated to the United States in 1987 and made Brockton, Massachusetts her home, where she lovingly raised her three children. For more than 20 years, Marie Ketty served as a healthcare professional in the South Shore Massachusetts area, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant and later as a Behavioral Health Technician.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Marie Ketty will forever remember her as a compassionate and lively member of the family. She had a deep love for her family and enjoyed bringing them together with her cooking by hosting family gatherings at her home. Marie Ketty also had a sharp and witty sense of humor that could brighten any room, and she also enjoyed outings with her family.

Marie Ketty Exilus is survived by her three children; Stephanie Noncent and her children, Alexander Noncent and his children and Derick Exilus and his child; and her devoted partner Antoine Jean-Baptiste who shared many meaningful years with her. She is also survived by her siblings; Mrs. Denise Exilus Darguste, Mrs. Carmelite Exilus Ulysse, Violette Exilus, Murat Exilus and his wife, Marie Francoise Exilus Faison, Yves Exilus and his wife, Serge Exilus and his wife, Mrs. Marie Andree Exilus Belizaire and her husband Wilder Belizaire, and close cousin Mrs. Antoinette Exilus Edme and her husband. Her memory will also be forever cherished by her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Saturday, September 16th from 8:30 - 10 am. followed by her mass of Christian burial will take place at Christ the King Church, 54 Lyman Street, Brockton at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Pearl Street, Brockton, MA.
