Obituary

Marie C. (Cribben) Jordan, age 92, of Brockton, died peacefully February 15, 2016 at the Home for Aged People in Fall River. Marie was the wife of the late Leo M. Jordan. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Austin and Catherine (Lynch) Cribben. She was a graduate of St. Patrick High School and attended the Brockton School of Business. Marie retired as a supervisor from New England Telephone Company after 40 years, and was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was a devout catholic who believed in teaching family values. Marie was an avid reader, enjoyed singing and dancing, spending summers in Wareham and winters in Florida, and travelling with her husband.
Marie is survived by two sons, Paul and his wife Carol of Raynham and Joel and his wife Laurie of Marshfield; three daughters , Anne Fitch and her husband Frederick of Arizona, Catherine LaPointe and her husband Mark of Taunton, and Joanne Marselle and her husband Jeffrey of Harwich; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of Austin Cribben, the late Leo and John Cribben and Helen Lyons.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Friday 4-7pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Saturday at 8am for a funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery.
